Hi all,
which reset chip is a good solution for AT91RM9200?
Because he controller needs a long reset time at startup, the most chips are not possible.

Greetings,
Edi

Maxim makes reset chips with the required 900+ millisecond reset period.

Edi,

Take a look to the TPS3808Gxx from Texas Instruments. Its POR delay time can be adjusted from 1.25ms to 10s...

Ricoh R3112x has adjustable delay with a external capacitor.

Maxim's reset IC is good, it requires no extra componets. However, it's delay time is min 1.12 typ 1.6 and max 2.24. Will it be too long sometimes?

John,

Too long of a reset time is not a system problem. It can be seen when the application powers up and initializes, but for us this is not a problem. MAX6417 has an external capacitor also for programming the reset period. One word of caution, Maxim has lead times for devices in the 16+ week range.
