Hi All,

I have 2 similar but slightly different designs based on the RM9200 one of these boots perfectly the other exhibits some strage behaviour.

Here's what happens:-

I boot with BMS high
I download loader.bin, all is OK.
I download u-boot.bin, loader says: "U-Boot downloaded successfully"
loader starts u-boot which appears to run but outputs gibberish to the terminal program.

After a little investigation I've found that u-boot seems to be sending data at ~140Kbps rather than 115.2Kbps.

It looks to me like the clock is running approximatly 25% over speed once u-boot is started, does anyone have any idea what might cause this?

Both designs use the same 18.43Mhz crystal and PLL RC values as the DK.

Regards,

Mike Cornelius

*UPDATE*
Problem is now fixed it was due to an intermittant SDRAM address line.

Hi Drelectro,

Could you give me the value of the AT91RM9200's register called CKGR_MCFR in PMC Peripheral, and in particular, the value of the MAINF field.

Hi Scadene,

The problem is now fixed, it turned out to be an intermittant SDRAM address line.

Everything is now working very nicely...
