I use at91rm9200 and dm9161ep and connected as RMII, just like the at91rm9200dk referrence documents,the software project is AT91RM9200-BasicEMAC-ARM1_2-2_0 given by Atmel.
After Power On the link display led(op2,pin13 in dm9161ep)is always blink ,is it correct?
The Pin14 can reflect the cable link correctly,but when I read the BMSR(01) Register the LinkStatus Bit (bit2)is allways 0?
The pc can show 100M ethernet have connected.
The ID1,ID2 can read correctly.181h,b881h;the auto-negotiation can complete successfully,
if the magnetics is not right for the dm9161,can the auto-negotiation complete?LinkStatus Bit (bit2)is allways 0?
Now I cannot Receive data through the ethernet.
Someone who familiar with the dm9161 please give me some advice ,Thank you !

Hello, I am using the DM9161EP -Did you understand why you could not get your board working?
I have the same problem you see.
If anyone has experience of getting this chip to work – or knows what the difference between the DM9161AEP –and the DM9161EP, please comment here.

Note: I MUST connect using 100BASE-FX (Fibre Ethernet) and this is the only DAVICOM chip that supports fibre. Also I am getting more nervous as this chip is increasingly difficult to get hold of - and there are no replacements! Curse you DAVICOM!
