Hello all,

I have had an AT91SAM9263 eval board for several weeks. I was able to load demo programs before leaving board alone for two weeks with backup battery connected, whilst other jobs were completed. Since firing the board up again have been unable to load anything to nand flash. I can load and run a demo on sram and sdram but not on nandflash. Whilst enabling nandflash I get an error 'Unable to auto
detect chip'.
The output from SAM-BA is:

Running the basic package demo gives the output:

I am using SAM-BA 2.8. Are there any clues as to why I can't get the nandflash to enable? The board is Kit BOM Rev 008 although PCB has a sticker with BOM 005. The Nandflash is Micron 29F2G08

I haven't had the chance to get the CRO onto the board yet, but I might have to soon.

Unfortunately, no. At some stage I will replace the chip, but in the interim I had to buy another one.

Hi,

If guess you 've closed the J29 jumper to enable the nandflash once the board is connected to SAMBA.
The backup battery may be empty. 2 suggestions:
- Replace it
- Check the Jumper VBACKUP/VDDBU (between the device and the backup battery) is closed.
