Hi all

I'm working with the SAM9X25-EK and I am trying to figure out the CAN interfaces.

A 'ifconfig -a' reveals a can0 interface and using the canconfig, ifconfig can0 up and candump/cansend seems to work. But it doesn't. It could be that can0 is sharing resources with the DBUG port. Viewing the 'ip -details -statistics link show can0' show an ever increasing numbers of packets received!. So something is wrong! :-)

can1 should not conflict with anything but this interface is not available.
How do I enable this interface?

I'v searched through the patched kernel source for can0 and can1 and didn't find any mismatching showing that only can0 should be enabled...

Ahhh... One of those days...

Write a post, hit enter and the answer is at the screen. (Doh!)

Running 'dmesg | grep can' returns:
at91_can at91sam9x5_can.1: can0: Features changed: 0x00004804 -> 0x00004004
at91_can at91sam9x5_can.1: device registered (reg_base=c88d0000, irq=30)

IRQ is CAN1 on the chip. So the interface can0 uses the hardware interface CAN1(!). :-)

It works. Great.
