Hi all,

I've been looking up the internet for availability information of these devices and found nothing about it (not even some preliminary summary pdf). Does anyone happen to know anything regarding this?

I've read that the devices are going to be the migration path from ARM7TDMI to Cortex-M3 cores (SAM7X/A devices, respectively). Will the peripheral set be approximately the same for the Cortex-M3 counterparts? I loved the overwhelming number of timers in AT91SAM7A3 and I also need CAN communication. Are AEC-Q100, -40 - +125 Celsius (full automotive range) variants planned?

Also, does the annoying spurious interrupt thing apply to Cortex-M3 cores as well?

Thanks in advance,
Geza

hello,
my last information regarding sam3x (from june 2010) said that samples will be available at october 2010 und production starts end of 2010. obviously this schedule will not be fulfilled by atmel ;-). but this is not really a surprise.

regarding the peripherals for the sam3x:
2 CAN
USB HS OTG
MAC 10/100
ADC 16ch/12bits
EBI

SAM3A will be very similar to SAM3X but without EBI and MAC.

regarding temperature range:
i don't have any information about it, but i wouldn't expect full automotive range.

regards
gerhard

Hi - I wonder does anybody have any visibility on what is happening with the SAM3X timeline :?: .
The SAM3X4 and the SAM3X8 got a mention in the Feb27 2012 press release about AS6, but no other information

I'm really excited about the AS6 supporting the Arm line and about to try out a few samples on the SAM3S-EK - but I'd really like to get the SAM3X functions. :P
