 Post subject: Difference between timer and PWM controller

On the atmel product selector guide, I noticed that some microcontrollers have a PWM controller (eg AT91SAM9G25) while others don't (eg AT91SAM9G20). Both have a Timer Counter, which can be used for PWM. What is the difference between a TC and a PWM controller?
