Hi there,

Im new in this cortex world and have some doubts. Ive just got a SAM3U-EK kit, SAM-ICE and IAR. However Im having some trouble flashing the arm with my code.
Is there some configuration I have to do in the arm? or in IAR?

Regards,
Bruno

Hi Bruno,

as far as I know there are some limitations using SAM-ICE to program the flash. Perhaps it is the problem.

I do not use the IAR tools because there are limitations too (code size). Therefor I can't say something about it.
I use GNU based development tools in combine with SAM-ICE. For programing the flash I use SAM-BA which is part of the ISP tools from Atmel. It should work for you too.
If you want to debug your hardware you can still use the IAR toolchain. First burn the image into the flash using SAM-BA, disable the DOWNLOAD item (located somewhere in the debugger settings for the given project) and start debugging.

Best regards,
Edi

Problem solved! In case another mate get same problem.
I tried to make a full new project, without any previous setting from atmel. But actually there are 3 files which should be used.
Linker File: flash.icf
Debug File: flash.mac
Flash Loader
They can be found in any example project from atmel:
