I just took delivery of one of these since I have an idea for a project :)

I connected the debug serial port to my windows PC and successfully connected to the EK using hyperterminal. I can log in as root and run linux commands. (uname -a produces: Linux SAM9 2.6.39 #1 Thu Jun 23 09:29:18 CEST 2011 armv5tejl GNU/Linux)

Can I connect to the evaluation board using USB or can I easily transfer files from the board's memory to my computer?

Thanks

Mark

The question is: What do you want to do with it? :)

Generally, the software supplied on development boards are meant as demos only and are not intended to be used directly. The idea is that you create your own custom software (perhaps based on a reference design supplied by the manufacturer). For this you will need a number of things such as a tool chain (compiler), a JTAG cable and some knowledge of programming and hardware.
