Can't redirect config to at91rm9200 (kernel 2.6)

Tue Feb 21, 2006 2:09 pm

Though the compilation process (for the package I use) has been primarily tuned to at91rm9200, the configuration procedure is still aimed at i386. Now when I invoke "make config", it shows "scripts/Kconfig/conf arch/i386/Kconfig" and offers i386 related options.

How should I switch config to at91?

Edit your kernel Makefile
and replace these two lines

ARCH ?= $(SUBARCH)
CROSS_COMPILE ?=

with these

ARCH ?= arm
CROSS_COMPILE ?= arm-linux-

Thanks, but these settings are initially done. That is, the build proccess is OK, I obtain Image and zImage for at91rm9200.

But "make config" is lost in i386 - that's the trouble.

Sorry but I don't understand what do you mean here.

BTW kernel 2.6 does no longer require make dep; make zImage
simply do make

"menuconfig" does the same - it's been attached to i386.

Sorry, I tried to invloke Makefile via script, which I done by cutting initial buildchain.sh. Now I edit ARCH and CROSS_COMPILE within Makefile, and things go right.
