kernel version

Wed Jun 15, 2005 3:47 pm

2.4.27-vrs1-Atmel

Possibly I misunderstand, I think the MTD patch is unnecessary?

I put that part of the project on the 'back burner' until fully understood.

Do I need the MTD patches?

thanks

I use kernel of 2.4.19-rmk7
I do not patch the mtd
I try to mount jffs on nand flash
#mount -t jffs /dev/mtdblock/0 /mnt/mtd
jffs_scan_flash(): Did not find even a single chunk of free space. This is BAD!
jffs_scan_falsh():Free size accounting screwed
jfffs_scan_flash():free_chunk_size1 == 0x100000, free_chunk_size2 == 0x0, fmc->f
ree_size == 0x0
JFFS: Failed to mount device 1f:00.
mount: Mounting /dev/mtdblock/0 on /mnt/mtd failed: Invalid argument

Hi,

I have started working with the AT91RM9200-EK, and I have the same problem that you have, an error mounting a dataflash partition with a jffs2 image.

mount: Mounting /dev/mtdblock/3 on /test failed: Permission denied .

I have some questions:
Have you fixed this problem?
how?
Do I need applied some patch?

I have been able to do a lot of things with the board, but during last two weeks I was trying to mount a jffs2 partition of the dataFlash without result.
Besides I was trying to mount a jffs2 root filesystem with the same result. I am desperate.

My kernel version is 2.4.27-vrs1-Atmel.

Thank you in advance,

Jesusr

My English is not so good that I would like.
