[at91sam7x-ek] I can program with SAM-PROG, but not SAM-BA

Wed Jul 23, 2008 12:49 pm

Hi,
as topic says. I can program with SAM-PROG without any problems, but i cannot do the same with SAM-BA.

Supose I want program device with "getting-started-project". After I erase the device with jumper, connect USB again, in SAM-PROG "write" works ok. After reconnecting device it gets me blinking LEDs.

With SAM-BA i tried to do the same for FLASH. I choose bin file, send it and compare file with memory, and it match exactly. Then I'm reconnecting USB and nothings going on. LEDs are off.

What I'm doing wrong?

Hi camarot,

Did you execute the "Boot from flash" script after programming the flash ?

Best regards,

I have a similar problem but with AT91SAM7X256. The modified PC example program ran fine without error but the board does not start. How do I implement the "Boot from Flash script" function in the PC program?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with ISP-1.12I tried at91sam7x256_sram.bin at SRAM and at91sam7x256_flash.bin(then, select Boot from Flash (GPNVM2)). LED won't flash

BTW, I tried more.
1) Programmed at91sam7x256_sram.bin at SRAM. Refresh memory at 0x200000, all data is 000000......... Of course, compared memory with bin file, all dismatch! And programming time is a bit long......
2) Tried at91sam7x256_flash.bin at flash. Refresh memory at 0x100000, all data is also 000000...

If you want to boot from flash, I think you should send the file to flash instead (select the Flash tab) on SAM-BA.
