y we need initrd=......

Hi every one
while browsing my first Linux kernel source file I found the command line as " CONFIG_CMDLINE="mem=32M console=ttyS0,115200 initrd=0x20410000,3145728 " y we need the "initrd=..." part what is this mean??
can any one help :roll:

I'm not entirely certain but I think it is the address where the kernel should look for the initrd RAM-disk.
