SAM3U Frequency Reference

I would like to clock the SAM3U off of a precision OCXO. It doesn't seem like this is possible as the external frequency input is set up to connect to a resonator and not an oscillator. Am I correct or is there a way around this? What would happen if I grounded Xout and connected my oscillator to Xin? Thanks!

The way that you would typically connect an external oscillator is to leave XOUT open, and the osc to XIN.

Both Oscillators (32k and 3-20MHz) can be bypassed, so you can input any external clock on XIN pin.
