NAND flash controller

Thu Mar 27, 2014 2:15 pm

Hi everybody,

I would like to interface the SAM3x8E to MT29F64G08CBAA, this nand flash have 8640 bytes for page.

Do you think is possible to interface with the nand flash controller that have only 4Kbyte of dedicated sram??

If no....how is the maximum NAND flash capacity that the nand flash controller is able to interface?

Thank you.

I'm also interested on that question. Does anyone know the maximum size of memory the SAM3X would handle?. How do you work with 2 CE# and 2 R/B#?

Thanks in advance.

If you have one NAND chip with two CE, then you could treat them as two independent NAND chips, map each CE to different NCSx.

As for page size, the max supported is 4K, I don't see a way round that.
