ATSAM3X8E programming

Mon Nov 03, 2014 12:29 pm

Dear friends, i need some help:

I´m using the ATSAM3X8E in a product running a Arduino Ide generated code, my problem is that every board we need to programm using Arduino Ide chip USB,

There are other way to program ATSAM3X8E but, with this Arduino code ?

thanks

You can program via the native USB port, but you will need to perform the Erase sequence first. That can only be done manually with buttons unless you have extra hardware.

You can use SAM-BA software from Atmel.

http://www.atmel.com/devices/SAM3X8E.aspx?tab=tools look for the SAM-BA

You just need to get the .hex file from the build folder when you compile in the Arduino IDE

marcelocamposs,

Make sure that the USB cable is plugged into the Native USB on the SAM3X8E.

Check in device manager under "Ports" that you can see something like "AT91 USB to serial converter".

If you don't see that then hold down the erase button for a second and then the reset for a second. If "AT91 USB to serial converter" can't been seen then it has to do with the driver that is installed.

From memory the arduino driver was installed for that port and I had to uninstall the driver and remove it to then have the SAM-BA driver install and then it works.

Hope that helps
