Hello,
we have custom boards with sama5d27-som1 and some of then can't be connected with sam-ba:
C:\Users\Dovydas>sam-ba -v
SAM-BA Command Line Tool v3.3.1
Copyright 2018 Microchip Technology
C:\Users\Dovydas>sam-ba -p serial:COM4 -d sama5d2 -a qspiflash:1:2:66
Opening serial port 'COM4'
Error: Could not switch monitor on port 'COM4' to binary mode
Connection closed.
If I open COM4 with terminal I can see RomBoot every 18secs:
"2020-10-19 13:38:29",RomBOOT
"2020-10-19 13:38:47",RomBOOT
"2020-10-19 13:39:05",RomBOOT
"2020-10-19 13:39:23",RomBOOT
"2020-10-19 13:39:41",RomBOOT
"2020-10-19 13:39:59",RomBOOT
Some others works fine..
Why is this happening? What should be checked in our design?

Re: Error: Could not switch monitor on port 'COM4' to binary mode
We found the problem. MMC socket was defective - sometimes Card Detect pin was set low even if no card was inserted. So it looks like RomBoot tried to talk to MMC, but since there was nothing physically there, it stucked and didn’t go down to the SAM-BA monitor.
p.s. sorry, I probably wrote in the wrong forum.
