9G20 NAND flash using Software ECC

In SAM-BA 2.15 it does not appear to be possible to select software ECC with the 9G20 CPU. This appears in the NAND tab in the drop down list PMECC configuration menu which is not listed when the 9G20 is detected.

Is there any way to program the ECC with SAM-BA when the 9G20 is the CPU? I did not find an ECC Topic in the current SAM-BA documentation either.

Am I right that SAM-BA 3 does not support the AT91SAM9G20-EK?

On my import statement, which device would I specify?

When I try the SAM9XX5, I get:
  • Warning: Invalid CIDR/EXID (0x19905a1/0x0, no known SAM9xx5 chip detected!

You are right, sam9g20 is not supported by SAM-BA 3:

sam9xx5 stands for the "5 series": sam9g15, sam9g25, sam9g35, sam9x25, sam9x35.

I think that software ECC is used for sam9g20 using SAM-BA 2. There is no option to specify ECC in the interface and PMECC IP is not present on the SoC.
So, make sure to use software ECC and flash the binary without paying attention to ECC: it's embedded in your binary image and application.
