SAMBA programming

hi
i am using the AT91SAM7S64 for programming the flash i am using the SAMBA program for interfacing but when i select the com1 and the board name . i get a fatal error saying " no valid processor ID found" so wts is the problem in it how can i download the bin file into the chip tried using the usb also but no result

plz help

Hi,

The problem here is that SAM-BA cannot communicate with the chip.

1/ Be careful that on the SAM7S the ROM code is running in FLASH, so once you have programmed a file in flash, you won't be able to use SAM-BA without doing a recovery procedure (this erases the flash and recovers the ROM code in flash).

2/ The serial link used is the DBGU on the SAM7S side. Don't plug the USB cable if you intend using the COM port.
