Migrating to SAMA5D34

Mon Nov 04, 2013 10:50 pm

My current project needs an upgrade, all the of the code I have written for it is in C. Moving the code to C++ should be fairly easy if necessary. Is there a compiler for the SAMA5 series mpus that also uses c or c++. I do not need a OS (android or linux) but I am open minded. I searched the documentation but cannot find examples or information that I am looking for. I really need to be sure that I can port my code over which is mostly low level stuffs fairly easily. And that a compiler is easily obtained. Im also curious if the SAMA5D34-EK comes with a compiler if so which one so i can familiarize myself with it.

The evaluation kt sama5d31-ek works fairly well on Android JB. There is no reason that it should not work for your application.

I would look at Atmel Studio IDE.

Should be able to build bare metal code with GNU/GCC, Keil, etc.

Return to “SAMA5D Cortex-A5 MPU”
