sam-ba applet debugging for NAND

Sun Jan 19, 2014 5:28 pm

Hi,
Can anyone give some tips on sam-ba applet debugging.

If i do something like TRACE_INFO("hi\n") or printf("hello\n");
The board seems to hang, and i don't see anything on the debug port.

I've tried it both on my own custom board and on the evaluation board (Eval Kit).

I'm trying to debug whey the NAND init doesn't work for our spansion S34MS01G100BHI000 part.

If jtag/ gdb debugging is possible can someone provide the steps necessary to set this up when loading the applet-nandflash-sama5d3x.bin ?

Thanks,
karlxo

I got the TRACE_INFO() and printk() working on the EK.
