error in datasheet of sama5d4 (?)

Tue Jan 13, 2015 10:29 pm

Hi,

I have som baremetal experience on the sama5d3 and are now migrating to sama5d4.
On the sama5d3 you can program the clock of a perihperal with te pmc_pcr register , to set the divider.

In the datasheet of the sama5d4 on p295 , they write there is a divider , but on page 334 where you can see the register bits, there is no DIV field.

Have they forgotten it , or can all peripherals run on the max freq. of 176 Mhz ???

Kind regards,

The best answer would be directly from Atmel Technical Support.
You'd have to contact them anyway if you expect the documentation to be corrected. Atmel doesn't spend too much time monitoring this site (e.g. it's the middle of winter and Daylight Savings Time is still active).

BTW it's better/polite to call this a "discrepancy" rather than an "error".

thanks.

I've searched the atmel site , but can not find a link for technical questions. Maybe you know it ?

At the very top of every page of this site is a link to "Technical Support" (in the black bar).
But first you have to create a myAtmel account.
