Performance difference between using one or two RAMs on PCB?

Performance difference between using one or two RAMs on PCB?

My design will run Linux on a SAMA5D35 and will have one Flash memory of 256Mx8, and one or two RAMs:
If I use a single RAM, I'll choose one of 128Mx16
If I use two RAMs, I'll choose two of 64Mx16

My doubt is if there's difference in performance between using one and two RAMs.

Why I'm asking: because if there is no performance difference between using one and two RAMs, I'll use only one with 128Mx16, in order to route only one RAM on PCB (easier) and maybe reduce the number of PCB layers.
