Atmel SAMA5D4 Custom LCD Display Guide

Tue Nov 24, 2015 5:39 pm

I'm working on a project that requires the use of the LCD connector, now the issue is that the display I would like to use is abit different to the breakout display which the example pda4 driver file supports.

How and whats areas of the LCD driver (.dtb) file do I need to change to get my display the work.

The differences between my display and the pda4 display are:
Resolution: 800x480
Frame rate: 120Hz
Input interface: SDR (RGB888 everyclock) 24bit.
Support two-wired serial interface.
Does not require HSYNC or VSYNC

As a side question are there any issues in using the LCD I2C connection for other devices as I believe the I2C connection to the PMU cannot be used for other communications.

hello, please did you reach your goal ? Because I want to use LCD on my SAMA5D27-SOM1-EK1 but I don't want to use TCM43XX , TCM5000 , TCM7000 . I just want to know if there is a possibility to use another type touchscreen on my board ? And what I must do for that ?
