serial question

Tue Apr 14, 2020 7:13 am

Just curious about this setting for sam9x60ek.

I cloned the "buildroot-external-microchip" project referenced on the Linux4Sam site and I am using it with build root. It builds and produces an image.

Though, in the board/microchip/sam9x60ek directory there is a file called uboot-env.txt . In that file I see:

stderr=serial@ffffee00
stdin=serial@ffffee00
stdout=serial@ffffee00

Yet, when I look at the sam9x60 data sheet it says address ffffee00 is reserved. Is this suppose to be 0xfffff200 the debug serial usart? Just want to make sure my serial/console is setup correctly.

Yes.
Apparently you have found a benign bug. It doesn't seem to impact the console of U-Boot.
You could notify the author; see the patch.
