ramdisk error at boot

Fri Nov 09, 2012 4:34 pm

Hi all,
I am facing ramdisk mounting error at boot with a ramdisk.gz of more than 4MB and watchdog enabled (less than 4MB is OK) ==> crc error atfer Compressed image found + reboot (see attached file)

Kernel command line: rootfstype=ext2 mem=64M console=ttyS0,115200 initrd=0x22C00000,12M root=/dev/ram0 rw ramdisk_size=14336
Memory: 64MB = 64MB total
Memory: 50060KB available (2020K code, 388K data, 100K init)

RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
crc error
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).
Freeing init memory: 100K
EXT2-fs error (device ram0): ext2_check_page: bad entry in directory #1897: rec_len is smaller than minimal - offset=0, inode=0, rec_len= 0, name_len=0
EXT2-fs error (device ram0): ext2_check_page: bad entry in directory #1821: unaligned directory entry - offset=0, inode=1701013878, rec_l en=25610, name_len=111
Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

Here is my configuration:
hard: at91sam9g20 + nandflash of 16MB + sdrram of 64MB

soft: bootstrap (wdog enabled) + uboot + kernel + ramdisk

can someone explain me why a ramdisk.gz of less than 4MB is OK, and not a ramdiks.gz > 4Mo???

Thanks
Idy
