How turn off "show whitespace" or "show hidden characters"

Mon Dec 10, 2012 5:02 pm

OK, I got my fingers crossed and magically found a key combination in Atmel Studio 6 that clearly allows the whitespace/hidden characters to be visible. While it is not hurting anything, it is driving me a wee-bit crazy.

Evidently AS6 is different enough from the production Visual Studio that references I see there don't appear to apply.

Thanks in advance for any help!

That did it, thanks! :D That is a useful webpage, BTW.

For what it's worth, it looks like tabs and spaces were visible. It wasn't as bad in the long run as I had thought, though it was a bit cluttered. It is a good trick to know where you have hidden tabs. I noticed the ASF code has tabs, and I was always told tabs are evil.

Of course, for a library to be used by the general public, a tab has the advantage that you can set the tab width to whatever you want.

BTW, I recently converted from being a 3 space tab person to a 2 space tabber, though that is another story. ;)
