Get ECC configuration with SAM-BA

Thu Oct 17, 2013 7:08 pm

Hello,
I'am trying to dump the memory of one of my G25 based board, to flash it to another G25 based board, both with SAM-BA and a Atmel SAM-ICE.

With PMECC, there are errors detected when starting the flashed board. With software ECC, I have an error on the first block I'm trying to dump. Without ECC, nothing but ROMBOT when starting the board.

So, PMECC seems the best, but I think I have a wrong configuration. (number of sector, size for ecc sector, offset...)

Is there a way to get the ECC configuration of the board I would like to dump?
Where can I found correct configuration? (changing only one parameter result in an "header configuration failed" error)

Thanks

It is up to the user to configure the PMECC parameters correctly, so you have to refer to the datasheet of the nandflash you use.
