Issues with EDBG - Win 7 - USB 3.0 ports

Sun Nov 22, 2015 4:50 am

Hi All,

I am having some issues after I bought a new computer which is a MacBook Pro that has 2 USB 3.0 ports. In order to run ASF, I have Virtual Box and a Win 7 systems running with it.
I have downloaded and installed guest additions, USB 3.0 drivers for Win 7 and chose USB 3.0 in V Box settings.
The problem I have is that Atmel (6.2 and 7.0) sees the EDBG (I have an ATSAM V71 ultra xplained board) but throws some issues that make it impossible to debug code. If I hit run/debug, I get:

"Failed to set-up tool (no context id returned)."

What can be the cause of this?

In my previous computer, everything works perfectly.
