SAML21 can't program flash

Thu Aug 04, 2016 12:09 pm

Hello everyone !

After making a prototype based on SAML21 board (SAML21J18B/WLCSP) I've encoutered a problem trying to program its flash (via SWD protocol using atmel-ice debugger).
I've been able to erase, but when I try actually programming it I receive the following message :

Code: Select all

Severity: ERROR
ComponentId:	20100
StatusCode:	131103
ModuleName:	TCF command: Modules:writeToMemory failed.

Failed to write segment at 0x0 to target for memorytype base
Programming starts at address 0x0 and even after changing that address I keep having the same error message ( which seems to mean that I can't write anywhere on the flash ).
I hope that some of you have some insight ( or any hint really ) on this type of issue.

I would check to see if any lock bits are set and check to make sure I was using the latest firmware version.
